hip click

My patient has this little lipoma that needs to be removed from her back. She doesn't need to go to the OR under general anestheic, but insurance won't cover it if we do it in the small procedure room with local anesthetic, so we are putting her under super-light general just so insurance will cover it. How ridiculously LAME!

Okay a few more highlights:

#6: the cold cucmber yougurt dill soup from Bittersweet that I ate yesterday. There is this PBS show called check please (WTTW CHICAGO) and they review all these Chicago restaurants, and so we have been hitting them up and the good ones are always SO GOOD, at least the ones where avg price per person is less than 20 bucks....we don't go otherwise. We talked to the owner as they were closing up, and we told him we came cuz of Check Please and her was like, that show has a cult following. As soon as that program first aired in the fall, people lined up outside the store every weekend.....he was almost weirded out by the phenomenon. We also ate this yummy goat cheese and grilled peppers and tomato on panini sandwich and a huge rootbeer float....it was yumster.com. When you visit, I'll take you there.

HIGHLIGHT #7: Okay, I can't think of a highlight, but I am thinking of a lowlight, so let me write it:
LOWLIGHT #6: My iliotibial band is clicking again, a lot. This is this band of fascia (this fibrous connective tissue-y stuff) that extend from hip to knee. Anyway, mine, where it inserts at the hip, clicks over this bony part of my femur, and as a result, after I exercise or do yoga (downward dog straight screws it up), I get all step, click, step, click.
So now I have to do exercises or else it might start hurting and crap.
I swear, only 27 and my body's falling apart on me. I need to start some Chondroitin Sulfate. For real. Bhakti swears by it and says it really helps your joints.
I need to go again, my patient might be in the OR
