scrabble and TB

yeearrrghhh, matey
skipped work yesterday, cuz I woke up feeling like ass. what does ass feel like? (my resident asks me.)
well, i feel sorry for you if you don't know.
i think i might be down. like downer than most downs that I have experienced in a while. and i tend to deal with most downs in a very healthy way, but this time round, I feel very withdrawn and not wanting to come out of it....this time, i want to loll about in it and experience the length and breadth of this downness, maybe because i didn't have the chance when I was busy studying to fail the boards, again.

hmmm....so the day i found out my sub par score, Grace picked me up from work, insisted on buying mt Taco bell, and then came home with me and watched bad television with me. Gracie is such a solid, loyal got your back girl, that I love her. She is the friend who goes out and buys the pregnancy test for you, waits while you pee on it, and swallows her own fear while you both hover over it, waiting for the line to turn blue, and once you find out you are not growing a baby inside of you, will confess that she was freaking out but stayed strong cuz you were freaking out more. She is the friend who gives you your first vibrator (bought because the girl on the package looked slightly ethnic, and thus made for you)......i wanted to write this down because she was just what I needed that evening, and she always comes through in moments like that, without my asking.
and for that i love her.
and you know who else was perfect? My cousin Amit, on fri night. i was pretty bummed out, and we sat and played scrabble, and though i started strong with a word worth 69 points, he made a late comback and kicked my ass, but it was good, just what I needed.
moral of the story: i need to be playing more scrabble, and eating more taco bell.
i gotta go to grand rounds.
on the + side, I made some yummy white pea shaak with lori ayer, and we made enough to last a year, and it is YUMMY!
